I first saw Tommy Colbert's fantastic wedding images almost a year ago. I was blown away by his ability to capture the "perfect moment". He has an uncanny gift for finding the "microseconds" that define an event and then getting them on film. I twisted his arm and convinced him to write something for Zuga.net, we are very lucky to have him.

I just spent about an hour perusing your site... I'm a photographer that used to do a lot of weddings in the 1980's. I think you have put a lot of study and years of shooting experience into your photography and it shows.
I am inspired to pick up my cameras again and start shooting after studying your work - and I did take a lot of time and really looked carefully at your shots. I also think that you have a fantastic flair for marketing your work--your site is laid out in a very hip, and fresh manner making it enjoyable to cruise around and look at various links. Your shooting style is also refreshing--not the usual posed shots that I'm used to seeing in wedding photography. Your shots all have a sense of spontaneity and movement. I know how hard it is to shoot weddings -- I've been shooting them for 20 years and did stills for the first 12 of those years--its hard work. You really must have a lot of patience and nerves of steel. I commend you on all fronts!
If you have any advice, or words of wisdom on shooting, or for getting back into shooting I'd be appreciative to hear them, if not I thank you for your fine work.
